Washington: Minister of Commerce and Industry and Acting Minister of Finance H E Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari met yesterday with Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) H E Kristalina Georgieva.
The meeting took place on the sideline of the Minister's chairmanship of the State of Qatar's delegation participating in the 2021 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and IMF from October 14 to 20 in Washington, DC.
The Managing Director of the IMF praised the State of Qatar's support to developing countries, and praised the country's role in providing humanitarian support in Afghanistan.
The meeting dealt with the biggest developments and economic challenges facing the world at the regional and international levels.
