Iranian heavy oil price increases USD3.74 in September to mark 5.3-percent


(MENAFN) OPEC’s latest monthly report showed that Iranian heavy oil price rose USD3.74 in September to mark a 5.3-percent improvement in comparison to the previous month.

The Iranian heavy crude oil price stood at USD74.08 per barrel, in comparison to August’s USD70.34 per barrel, after the improvement in oil demand in world markets in the stated month.

The country’s average heavy crude price stood at USD66.65 from the start of the current year up to the report’s publishing day compared to USD39.4 in the last year same time span.

According to the report, Iranian crude output for September amounted at 2.503 million barrels per day (bpd) showing an 22,000-bpd surge in comparison to the number for the last month.
