The State of Qatar, Greece sign legal cooperation agreement

Doha  - The State of Qatar and the Hellenic Republic signed an agreement of joint cooperation in the legal field between the ministries of justice in the two friendly countries.

The agreement was signed by Minister of Justice HE Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri and Minister of Justice of the Hellenic Republic HE Kostas Tsiaras.

The agreement aims to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between the two countries in the legal field, exchange experiences, expertise and legislation in issues of joint interest, and organize scientific meetings, conferences and training courses on various issues related to legal affairs and related sectors. The agreement establishes a joint coordination for the implementation of cooperation and joint training programs for workers in the legal sector in both countries.

On the sidelines of the signing of the agreement, HE Masoud bin Mohammed Al Ameri, met with HE Kostas Tsiaras, and his accompanying delegation, who is currently visiting the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed means of enhancing legal cooperation between the State of Qatar and the Hellenic Republic and developing it in various judicial fields, in addition to discussing mechanisms to implement the legal agreement signed between the two friendly countries, and a number of issues of common interest.

The meeting and the signing of the agreement was attended by Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic to the State of Qatar HE Eleni Michalopoulou and a number of senior officials in the ministries of justice in the two countries.
