US Democratic congressman John Garamendi in his statements said that the Afghan students who are settled in the US through Fulbright scholarship, be given special immigration visas.

John Garamendi has said that the US should save the students and their respective families from the torture of the Taliban and help them settle in the United States.

It is said that their families are meant by their spouses and children.

The new suggestion comes as the US is willing to evacuate thousands of Afghans who have worked for them in the past twenty years.

The US president Joe Biden on Thursday, October 14 said that civil servants who served during the first regime of the Taliban will be exempt and can visit the US.
