(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Oct. 14 (Petra) -- The Information and Communication Technology Association of Jordan (Intaj) will take part in the 2021 Gulf Information Technology Exhibition "Gitex," slated for the 17-21 of October.
In a statement on Thursday, Intaj said that its participation in Gitex aims at highlighting the role of the Jordanian information technology sector, promoting the national investment environment, coordinating with other Jordanian companies, and networking with Arab and international companies participating in the exhibition.
Intaj's Chairman Eid Al Sweis said that the Jordanian companies participating in the exhibition will have the opportunity to communicate and network with more than 700 companies from more than 60 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Nigeria, Brazil, Poland, India, Portugal, Hungary, Sweden, Serbia and Ukraine, and Pakistan, making the exhibition a gateway for the global technology markets.
He pointed out that Jordan, Tunisia, Morocco, Palestine, Yemen, Egypt, Kuwait, Lebanon and Bahrain are participating as part of the Arab Information and Communication Technologies Union (AICTU), stressing the importance of the exhibition in highlighting artificial intelligence, fifth generation, blockchain, cybersecurity and big data, and cloud computing technologies.
He pointed out that the Jordanian information technology sector is highly competitive and qualified to participate in such a major event, underlining the importance of Intaj's participation in the exhibition to network and communicate.
