Top officials of Afghanistan’s interim government to hold talks with senior Turkish officials

(MENAFN) According to an official, top officials of Afghanistan’s interim government are going to talk with senior Turkish officials on Thursday.

Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesperson Abdul Qahar Balkhi further declared that Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi is conducting a high-level delegation to Turkey.

Balkhi also said that Balkhi “The delegation will hold talks with senior Turkish officials on issues of mutual interest,” declaring that the invitation was prolonged by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.

This is going to be first high-level contact amid Turkey and the new administration in Afghanistan when the Taliban took over control on Aug. 15.
