(MENAFN) An official stated that on Thursday, Oct. 14 top officials of Afghanistan’s interim government will conduct discussions with senior Turkish officials.
Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Abdul Qahar Balkhi tweeted that the Afghan acting Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi is heading a high-level delegation to Turkey.
Balkhi noted: “the delegation will hold talks with senior Turkish officials on issues of mutual interest,” further saying that the invitation was offered by Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
It will be first high-level interaction between Turkey and the fresh administration in Afghanistan after the Taliban seized power on Aug. 15.
