Libya’s official pays visit to Algeria to get economic, political backing


(MENAFN) A declaration of the presidency stated that on Sunday, Oct. 10 Algeria’s President Abdelmadjid Tebboune welcomed in his office in Algiers the visiting Speaker of Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Salah Issa.

Aguila Salah has been in Algeria since Saturday in an official visit at the request of his Algerian counterpart, Brahim Boughali.

APS news agency said in a report that on Saturday, the Libyan official convened with Boughali, as they talked about bilateral relations and the nationwide reconciliation in Libya.

"Libya is going through an economic crisis as it needs the help and support of Algeria," noted Aguila Salah, adding that Algeria "is capable of providing the necessary assistance to the Libyan people."
