Value of export from East Azarbaijan in northwest of Iran increases 55 percent


(MENAFN) According to a provincial official, in the first half of the current Iranian year, the value of export from East Azarbaijan province in the northwest of Iran increased 55 percent in comparison to the previous year same time span.

The deputy governor-general of the province for economic coordination, Ali Jahangiri, stated that goods value at USD622 million were exported from the province in the mentioned period.

Also, 84 items were exported to 99 countries in the first six months of the current year, he added.

Jahangiri also said that most of the products were exported to the neighboring countries.

In the first six months of the current Iranian year, the worth of Iran’s non-oil trade increased 47 percent, compared to the previous year same period, the head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) declared.
