Project Qatar receives overwhelming response with 15,000 professional visitors

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Project Qatar 2021 has been wrapped up with a successful comeback after attracting 15,000 professional visitors. The expo, which saw registration of a total of 150 exhibitors from 13 countries, provided new opportunities for the participating companies to catch up with their industry peers, reconnect with customers to market their products and services, but most importantly, sign new agreements and forge partnerships for the future.
The vibrant presence of visitors and business networking held during the four-day mega-event reflect a positive and strong comeback for the construction sector as they look to meet project deadlines in the run-up to the country's hosting of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
"Participating top-notch manufacturers, distributors, and contractors, to cite a few, engaged with local decision-makers and their counterparts through Project Qatar, and we are happy to note the positive outcomes in these fruitful interactions where 92% of exhibitors confirmed that they signed at least two new agreements during the exhibition period,” said Haidar Mshaimesh, projects director, IFP Qatar.
Leading local and international entities such as the Public Works Authority (Ashgal), Qatar Green Building Council, Milaha and Siemens, brought to the spotlight the major growth opportunities in Qatar's construction sector at the Future Projects Qatar Conference and explored the potentials and trends of the future.
Several companies leveraged their presence at the exhibition to market their business developments and plans. Qatar Primary Materials Company, one of the leading local companies, formally launched its new visual identity and logo at Project Qatar, led by the company's chief executive Essa Mohamed Ali Kaldari, during the opening session of the conference.
Elegancia Group also announced its new organisational structure at the event, and other upcoming several new projects, including a new hospital in Lusail which will open soon in partnership with Mount Sinai, a leading American hospital.
The third day of the future projects Qatar conference, focused on the theme 'Building Today for a Smarter Tomorrow'. Key topics centred on smart technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and automation which can help accelerate infrastructure development and define the future of the built environment in Qatar.
During the fourth day of the conference, supply chain and logistics took the centre stage to address the impact of port infrastructure and logistics performance on economic growth.
The themes discussed throughout the day include Qatar, The Emerging Cargo Hub of the Region; Sustainability in Logistics; Future-Proof your EV Charging Infrastructure; Smart Logistics to Support Supply Chain; and Qatar Rules and Regulations on Supply Chain and Logistics.
The CPD trainings were also centred on supply chain management in a post-pandemic world and shed light on the integrated nature of the chain of operations involved in today's supply chain and logistics.
