Afghanistan: Explosion leaves 1 dead, 17 injured in Khost
(MENAFN) On Thursday, Oct. 7 a provincial official stated that a person has been killed and another 17 were wounded as an explosive device blasted in a religious school in Khost city, capital of eastern Khost province on Wednesday.
The explosion occurred in Mazharul Alum Madrasa (Mazharul Alum religious school) late Wednesday, killing one learner and wounding 17 others, according to the official, Mawlawi Mohammad Sabir Sabari.
He noted that a student was busy in dismantling a mine when the device blasted and caused the casualties, further saying that the wounded were in steady condition.
