Thailand contemplates 'crypto-tourism'


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) The Thai government is currently exploring whether its own utility token could have a positive impact on the country's travel industry. According to the Tourism Authority of Thailand, a dedicated utility token could give this land of smiles and exquisite tropical beaches a profitable slice of the crypto-tourism pie. Vouchers could be converted into digital tokens.

However, there is still quite a bit of work ahead for them before launch, Yuthasak Supasorn, chairman of the TAT, appropriately said.
Highlighting the potential of technologies such as cryptocurrencies and their continued development, Yuthasak Supasorn, the governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, said that the introduction of the TAT token will encourage cryptocurrency holders and increase the competitiveness of Thailand's tourism industry
