No more 10-day hotel quarantine as Covid travel policy is revised

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Bookings for the new hotel quarantine packages have begun on the Discover Qatar website after the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced a revised Travel and Return Policy on Sunday.
The new policy comes into affect at 2pm arrival time in Qatar on October 6 (Wednesday).
Under the new system, there is no 10-day hotel quarantine for any category of travellers coming to Qatar. The revised policy, instead, includes hotel quarantine packages for two or seven days, besides Mekaines accommodation for two or 10 nights.
The categories of people who need hotel quarantine include visitors coming from Green and Red List countries, and residents/citizens as well as visitors coming from Exceptional Red List nations. Following are the details:

* Coming from Green List countries - Unvaccinated visitors or those who have not completed the necessary vaccination doses will have to undergo seven days' hotel quarantine. This is for all types of visas except for unvaccinated first-degree relatives, including children under the age of 18, with pre-issued family visas, who will undergo home quarantine for seven days.

* Coming from Red List countries - For visitors who are fully inoculated with a vaccine approved by Qatar's MoPH, the following categories will be subject to hotel quarantine for two days or until the test result appears: travellers aged 12 and above; children aged 11 years and below (non-vaccinated) accompanied by one or both of their parents/family members who are fully vaccinated.
For unvaccinated visitors or those who have not completed the necessary vaccination doses, the following categories will be subject to hotel quarantine for seven days:
holders of all types of visas except pre-issued family visas.

* Coming from Exceptional Red List countries - Citizens, GCC citizens and residents of Qatar who are fully inoculated with a vaccine approved by the MoPH will be subjected to hotel quarantine for two days.
Citizens, GCC citizens and residents of Qatar, who are not vaccinated or who have not completed the necessary vaccination doses, will be subject to hotel quarantine for seven days.
Fully vaccinated visitors coming from the Exceptional Red List countries will be subject to hotel quarantine for two days. This will also apply to unvaccinated travellers aged 11 years and below. Unvaccinated travellers above 11 years from Exceptional Red List countries are not allowed.
