Qatar's economy increases 4 percent annual in 2Q


(MENAFN) Official preliminary estimates that came from the non-hydrocarbon sector showed that Qatar's economy increased 4 percent annual in the second three months.

According to the Gulf state's statistics authority, on a quarterly basis, gross domestic product (GDP) based on constant prices dropped 0.3 percent.

While non-mining and quarrying activities marked a 6.2 percent improvement, mining and quarrying GDP increased 0.7 percent annual in the second three months.

Accommodation and food service activities witnessed the biggest yearly increase, rising 41 percent, deliberating the low base last year because of Coronavirus-related measures.
