CICU with DIC hosts Export Promotion event in Ludhiana
Ludhiana, Sept 29 (KNN) Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU) and Department of Industries & Commerce, Govt. of Punjab organized VANIJYA UTSAV- Event on Export Promotion Showcasing India as a Rising Economic Force.
The theme was in alignment to the AZADI KA AMRIT MAHOTSAV for celebration of 75 years of freedom of India, and to promote exporters, a small scale exhibition was organized, in which exporters presented their products.
Varinder Sharma, IAS, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Ludhiana addressed the gathering and inaugurated the event, and Suvidh Shah, Joint. DGFT, Ludhiana, gave a presentation on becoming an Exporter and how to find product, market, customer, data analysis of export DGFT and its scheme under Foreign Trade Policy, District as export Hub and Punjab State Export Plan.
A policy brief about ECGC and their benefits were given by Bal Mukund from Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India.
S. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU addressed the gathering and appreciated the work being done by Govt. to promote the exporters of the Punjab Region. He also thanked Suvidh Shah, Team from HDFC Bank, ECGC, Department of Industries & Commerce, Punjab, Varinder Sharma, Kundan Lal, Assistant Director, MSME-DI and the participants.
Mahesh Khanna, Joint Director Commerce, Department of Industry, Mr. Dinesh Seth, Zonal head, HDFC Bank were present and gave their respective presentations on Export Promotion.
Kundan Lal spoke about the schemes International Cooperation, for International and Domestic Trade fairs.
A panel discussion took place which was coordinated by S.B Singh, Joint Secretary, CICU and briefed about the potential of Exports both in manufacturing as well as in services from the region.
The meeting was attended by more than 150 members S.B Singh, J.S Bhogal, Publicity Secretary, Sarvjit Singh and Gautam Malhotra, VP, CICU, Sh. Rakesh Pathak from DIC, Sh. Ram Lubhaya and other members were present.
