Ukraine receives cyber-security support from EU


(MENAFN) Round two of cybersecurity moves financially supported by the European Union happened in Kyiv on September 20-22 with Ukraine’s major public investors in the field of cybersecurity.

As mentioned by the EU Delegation in Ukraine, more than 50 authorities of Ukraine’s State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection, Security Service, Cyber Police, Ministry of Defense, and National Bank played a role in the training simulation of fighting cyber attacks.

The activity had a commentary assembly with entitles of essential cybersecurity agencies who increased the problems of creating a useful reply to cyber attacks. Particular attention was placed on collaboration between the major players in the sector of cybersecurity.

Viktor Zhora, Deputy Head of the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection declared, “Such exercises provide a unique opportunity to elaborate scenarios of countering cyber attacks under conditions close to reality and ensure the aligned work of teams, as well as enhance skills to respond to cyber incidents.”
