Turkish Cypriot head assembles with UN leader in NY

(MENAFN) A conference was held with the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ersin Tatar head and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres about the 76th meeting of UN General Assembly in New York.

A report by the UN showed that they both switched outlooks on the Cyprus problem.

Tatar intends to join a tripartite conference and is going to assemble with Greek Cypriot head Nicos Anastasiades at a luncheon to be harbored by the UN secretary general.

Cyprus has been stuck in a decades-long dispute amid Greek and Turkish Cypriots, regardless of a series of diplomatic hard work by the UN to achieve a complete agreement.
