Iraq's investment environment is prepared for Jordanian companies says minister


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 26 (Petra)--Minister of Public Works and Housing, Yahya Kisbi, said that Iraq's investment environment is prepared for Jordanian companies to operate in.
The recent visit of the Jordanian delegation, which included representatives of the housing, construction, contracting and construction industries sector, to Iraq will have a direct impact on the economy of both countries through development partnership projects in various fields, Kisbi said Sunday in a statement.
Agreements were made with Iraqi officials to frame and enhance cooperation between the two sides in various fields in line with the government's keenness to reflect royal directives to bolster cooperation and partnership with Iraq in various fields, Kisbi added.
He explained that the Iraqi officials and representatives of the construction, investment and electricity sectors reaffirmed that the investment environment for Jordanian companies is prepared, and opportunities, incentives and facilities are available, noting that the Iraqi government is fully prepared to remove any obstacles facing Jordanian companies to work in Iraq due to its competencies and expertise at the local and international levels.
During the visit, Kisbi pointed out, a number of work and partnership agreements were signed between Jordanian and Iraqi companies, one of which worthes more than $40 million.
