Saada initiative witnesses great success thru its humanitarian endeavours


(MENAFN- Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Centre For Cultural and Social Understanding) Dubai, UAE, September, 2021: The Information City, under the chairmanship of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum, with its strategic partner MTN, affirms through "Saada" initiative its permanent commitment to completing its humanitarian role and vital role in protecting the community and maintaining its safety in general thus placing Dubai at the forefront of cities in terms of its interest in health, knowledge and community awareness to face diseases and epidemics.
For the third year in a row, the Information City celebrates the success of "Saada" initiative by providing social and educational assistance to children, with the support of major government agencies. The main target was to support all segments of society and draw smiles and happiness on the faces of children and their families. It provided 1,000 school bags with a set of necessary stationery supplies for students aged between five and nine years old in a number of schools, and paid part of school fees for 250 children, in addition to providing 1,000 brand new laptops.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Maktoum Bin Juma Al Maktoum said: The "Saada" initiative executed by the Information City addresses the health, the educational and the social aspects. The efforts and insistence of the Information City team on completing the awareness journey had a great impact on the success of the "Saada" initiative. The team worked with dedication, confidence and much awareness to address the COVID-19 pandemic that swept the entire world.”
The Information City, complemented its awareness, humanitarian and social role in light of the difficult conditions imposed by the global Covid-19 pandemic, as it provided the community during the national sterilization phase, with more than half a million of medical protective masks, 100,000 packages of gloves and 100,000 packages of sterile materials.
The "Saada" initiative addressed to the Covid-19 pandemic has won the praise and support of senior state officials who joined the Information City in its endeavours to achieve its goals in addressing this global pandemic, as well as the interest of a large number of institutions, charities and local and international sponsoring companies, including: MTN, FINE Hygienic Holding , Tanqia , Nestlé, Goodyear , Dubai Duty Free , Unilever , Anantara the palm Dubai , DNV GL , Al Mamoori Holding Group Limited , Al Handal Group, KhanSaheb Group .
