beIN SPORTS to exclusively broadcast the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2021 as part of beINSPIRED women’s sports portfolio


(MENAFN- Bein) DOHA – 25 September 2021: beIN MEDIA GROUP, the global sports and entertainment broadcaster and its flagship sports channel beIN SPORTS will exclusively broadcast the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2021 to its viewers across 24 countries in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Set to take place in Jordan from 27 September until 3 October 2021, the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup 2021 forms part of beIN’s women’s sports portfolio and its wider beINSPIRED corporate commitment, in which beIN showcases inspiring and under-represented sports women and men, as well as developing business partnerships, events and creative campaigns all aimed at telling the most diverse and inspiring stories that sport has to offer. beIN SPORTS has been showcasing female talent in Wimbledon, the Tokyo Olympics and the US Open, amongst other major events, and will broadcast the UEFA Women’s Champions League next month for the first time.

Eight national teams will be taking part in this year’s international basketball tournament, including Australia, Japan, China, Japan, Korea and New Zealand with the tournament being played at the Prince Hamza stadium in the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The tournament kicks off with China taking on the Philippines at 13:00 MECCA and Australia taking on Chinese Taipei at 16:00 MECCA live on the beIN SPORTS dedicated Olympic Channel, beIN SPORTS 7. All coverage of the FIBA Women’s Asia Cup will include Arabic commentary from beIN’s basketball experts Paul Fadel Mohammad Salim and Othman Alquraini.
