Turkish manufacturing industry’s capacity utilization rate boosts in September


(MENAFN) According to latest data, the Turkish manufacturing industry’s capacity utilization rate (CUR) rose month-on-month in September, registering the fourth straight monthly increase.

A Turkish Central Bank survey showed that the local manufacturing industry units operated at 78.1 percent of their capacity this month, increased one point from August.

The highest CUR stood at 79.9 percent for intermediate commodities, as the lowest reached 72.5 percent for food and beverage.

The highest capacity usage was in the manufacturing of wood and wood/cork products, excluding furniture, at 84.5 percent in September, as the lowest was in leather production with 63.7 percent.
