(MENAFN) The most recent report from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) showed that the Chinese economy is projected to keep its rebound over the rest of this year, boosted by China’s robust exports.
The Asian Development Outlook 2021 Update read that the country’s Gross Domestic Product is expected to expand 8.1 percent this year and 5.5 percent in the coming year, with both numbers staying unchanged from ADB's April estimates.
Dominik Peschel, head of economics unit of ADB noted that net exports will add more to the country’s economic expansion this year than the bank had projected earlier.
Peschel added that consumption would remain the key development driver for the country’s economic expansion this year and next year.
