Jinping leader stops new coal power projects outside China


(MENAFN) Instructing new coal-fired power projects outside China was halted, as stated by Xi, Jinping Leader.

Xi said at the 76th meeting of UN General Assembly by video link from Beijing “We need to improve global environmental governance, actively respond to climate change and create a community of life for man and nature.”

He added “This requires tremendous hard work,” “China will step up support for other developing countries in developing green and low-carbon energy."

Xi continued by saying that Beijing is going to offer further inoculations to the world and global support and China intends to deliver 2 billion shots till the end of 2021, while giving an advice to global society to learn from science on the global epidemic.

Moreover, he declared that the main concern must be to “ensure the fair and equitable distribution of vaccines globally” and described inoculations as a “global public good.”

Furthermore, Xi announced “We may employ such means as debt suspension and development aid to help developing countries, particularly vulnerable ones facing exceptional difficulties, with emphasis on addressing unbalanced and inadequate development among and within countries.”
