Jordan's industrial exports stand at USD3.59B in 1st half of 2021


(MENAFN) According to President of the Jordan Chamber of Industry Fathi Jaghbir, Jordan's industrial exports increased 23.1 percent in the first six months of the year.

During the mentioned period, Jordan's industrial exports increased to 2.549 billion dinars (about USD3.59 billion), from 2.07 billion dinars in the previous year same time span.

Jaghbir further declared that it is an "unprecedented" expansion that was not noticed for several years, highlighting the continuation of the industrial activities to their normal levels after all circumstances the sector has been through due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In addition; the industrial sector is considered among the main economic sectors in terms of its direct contribution to the country's GDP.
