(MENAFN- Newsroom Panama) Soccer fans planning to attend the USA-Panama World Cup Qualifying fixture on October 10, will need to have completed the vaccination scheme against Covid-19 to able to enter the stadium, confirmed the Panamanian Soccer Federation (Fepafut) on Tuesday.
“It will continue to be essential to have the complete vaccination process against Covid-19 to be able to attend the matches in Panama,” Fepafut said in a statement, in which it announced the start of ticket sales for the next game at the Rommel Fernández stadium.
In the next window of the qualifiers for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, Panama will have two away games: on October 7 against El Salvador and on October 13 against Canada.
The federation reiterates that the National Authority for Government Innovation (AIG) will once again be in charge of confirming the vaccination information, which is why people who buy tickets must have their card validated in the system.
People who were immunized abroad must likewise validate their information on the platform enabled by the AIG fans, have to complete their affidavit and meet all the requirements of the authorities in order to enter the country. "This way it will be registered in the AIG system and will be able to enter the stadium without problems."
On the day of the match, at the stadium access points, fans must present the QR code that will confirm that they meet the requirement of being with the full vaccination cycle.
The use of this technological tool is part of a pilot plan with the realization of mass events in the middle of the pandemic. It was already used in the first home games in Panama, at the beginning of September.
Tickets for the game of the octagonal round of the Confederation of North, Central America, and the Caribbean (Concacaf), cost $10-$50 plus ITBM.
