Amir meets British Prime Minister


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met today with the Prime Minister of the friendly United Kingdom Boris Johnson and his accompanying delegation at the Headquarters of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the seventy sixth session the United Nations General Assembly in New York.

Talks during the meeting dealt with relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and aspects of developing them in all fields, in addition to discussion of the most prominent regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly developments of the situation in Afghanistan. The British Prime Minister expressed thanks and appreciation of the United Kingdom for the efforts the State of Qatar has made to evacuate British nationals from Afghanistan and its support of the Afghani peace process.

Members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir attended the meeting.
