Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) honors musician Hamed Al-Nama, in appreciation of his artistic career and creativity for more than fifty years, on the fourth of next October.
It is planned to publish a book that presents the musician's career and the most important stages of his creative life, and work is underway to produce a "global symphony" composed by the musician, Al-Nama, in a joint project with Katara.
The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) has traditionally honored Qatari creators, in appreciation of their path and giving, as part of its multiple cultural initiatives, which makes it initiatives with national projects that celebrate the statures of creativity in Qatar, which have made valuable contributions in various fields of intellectual, literary and artistic creativity, and among these Initiatives shield the writer and shield the antidote.
The musician Hamed Al-Naama is considered one of the most important pillars of art and music in Qatar and the Gulf, who enriched the singing scene with many works, symphonies and national operettas.
He graduated in 1975 from the Higher Institute of Arabic Music in Cairo, to be the first Qatari artist to specialize in this field, and then completed his higher education in the field of musical composition and orchestral arrangement in the Philippines. He also studied orchestra management in Britain. In 1980, he founded the Institute of Musical Arts in Qatar, From which many Gulf and Qatari musicians graduated.
