Gaza rebuilding procedure requires USD3 bln


(MENAFN) The rebuilding procedure in the Gaza Strip has started and it requires USD3 billion to be finished, a senior Palestinian administration official announced on Monday, Sep. 20.

Naji Sarhan, undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing noted: "we need one billion U.S. dollars to rebuild the damage left during the latest wave of tension in May and the previous Israeli wars waged on the Gaza Strip."

He further said: "we need another 2 billion dollars to revive Gaza and bring it back to life."

A number of nations have given grants to begin the rebuilding procedure in the Gaza Strip, comprising Qatar and Egypt. Both nations declared that they provided USD500 million, each.
