China: Yunnan witnesses int’l trade increase 51 pct in 1st 8 months


(MENAFN) During the January-August period of 2021, Southwest China's Yunnan Province posted robust trade expansion.

Kunming Customs reported that Yunnan's foreign trade came to 199.08 billion yuan (around USD30.8 billion) in the first eight months, a rise 51.1 percent from a year earlier.

The province's exports surged 82.1 percent year over year hitting about USD16,40 billion, whereas imports added 26.5 percent reaching USD14,38 billion.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) continued to be Yunnan's biggest trading partner in the cited period, with trade expanding 24.5 percent year over year to USD12,74 billion, said the agency.
