Chinese crude oil production rises 2.3 pct during August
(MENAFN) Official figures demonstrated that the Chinese crude oil production surged 2.3 percent year over year hitting 17.03 million tonnes last month.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) said that the August production expanded 4.7 percent from the 2019 level. The daily oil production in August came in at 549,000 tonnes.
In the January-August period of the year, China’s crude oil production stood at 133.22 million tonnes, a rise of 2.4 percent from a year ago.
As one of the biggest oil purchasers in the globe, China imported 44.53 million tonnes of crude oil in the past month, a decrease by 6.2 percent year over year.
The NBS figures demonstrated that the crude oil imports decreased 5.7 percent year over year in the first eight months hitting 346.36 million tonnes.
