Taliban appoint Naseeb Khan as ACB chief executive


(MENAFN- Pajhwok Afghan News) KABUL (Pajhwok): Naseeb Khan has been appointed as the new Chief Executive of Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB), replacing Hamid Shinwari, the game regularity authority said on Monday.

On its facebook page, the ACB wrote that Naseeb Khan had studied up to master level and he has complete understanding of the game of cricket.

Citing Chairman ACB, the board said:“We are happy someone who has good understanding of cricket has joined us. He has been appointed as chief executive after consultation with the board.”

Naseeb Khan pledged as Afghanistan was preparing for the World Cup, he will try to provide all necessary facilities to players for their preparations.

Earlier, former Chief Executive Hamid Shinwari wrote Taliban member AnasHaqqani told him that he was no more chief executive.

“I asked for a formal letter and reason behind my ouster but I was not provided anything in his regard,” he said.
