São Paulo – Brazilian companies interested in prospecting business in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates can register for the mission organized by the Arab Brazilian Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) to the region from October 30 to November 6 this year. The goal is to take advantage of the opportunities offered by Expo 2020 Dubai and the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022. Registration is open until September 30. Leite: The mission occurs in a unique moment

The Expo 2020 world's fair starts on October 1 this year and runs until March 31, 2022, in the UAE. The World Cup will take place in Qatar from November to December 2022.“Our goal is to present the many existing opportunities in the UAE and Qatar , which in the next fifteen months will host the two biggest events in the world,” says the director of New Business of the ABCC, Daniella Leite.

The director states the business mission is aimed both at companies not yet in these markets seeking to enter and companies already exporting to the region intending to expand their operations.“This unique moment provides an opportunity for contact not only with the UAE or Qatar but with the whole world,” explains the director, referring to the global public the events will attract to the countries.

The mission will have an innovative format, bringing together training and business. There will be a schedule to understand the markets, with content on opportunities, innovation, taxation, legislation, competitiveness, and business etiquette based on real cases of companies already operating in the countries. The idea is to show business in the UAE and Qatar based on real experiences, with content taught by Arab executives and consultants with local expertise. A course will be given on agile innovation methodologies from the perspective of Arab business people. There will also be meetings for prospecting and doing business.

Leite says the mission was devised on the pillar of Expo 2020 Dubai, which is to think about the future based on the themes of mobility, sustainability, and opportunities.“We incorporated this into our schedule. We will have meetings related to matters of opportunities, others on mobility and sustainability,” she says, explaining in mobility, the idea is for companies to know how to make their products and services move in the markets, and in sustainability, to think about how to serve Arab consumers who are aware of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) issues.

Registration

The mission will be multi-sector; Brazilian companies from all sectors can participate. They can also be of all sizes. However, the mission members must speak English as the entire plan and schedule will be in that language, without translation into Portuguese. The mission will stay for four days in Qatar and three days in the UAE. The departure from Brazil will be on October 29. For more information, contact the ABCC's Commercial Department at .
