Arab Gulf Football Cup postponed to 2023 over hectic schedule


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) DOHA, Sept 20 (KUNA) -- The Arabian Gulf Football Cup, initially slated for December in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, has been postponed to January 2023, the region's football body said, citing a packed schedule ahead for participating teams.
The postponement gives host nation Iraq adequate time to organize the 25th edition of the regional football showpiece, Arab Gulf Cup Federation chief Jasem Al-Rumaihi said in a statement. (end)
