Fresh substitute meat brand ADM to enter US marketplace


(MENAFN) US stores can predict an additional plant-based meat challenger to press on to shelves filled with the similar of Beyond Meat, Impossible Foods and Tyson Foods trademarks.

As mentioned by Global Foods head Leticia Goncalves of ADM’s nutrition unit, Archer Daniels Midland firm intends to kick off its first plant-based US collection through the PlantPlus Foods combined project with Brazilian meat creator Marfrig Global Foods in the first quarter.

Despite of the fact that particulars have not been revealed, the executive stated that the company’s policy varies from what it did in Latin America by going beyond traditional meatless goods such as veggie meatballs and burgers.

Ms Goncalves noted in a meeting, “Americans are open to new formats that don’t exist in the animal-protein segment, like meals prepared with plant-protein ingredients.”
