Pakistan: Terrorist killed by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa


(MENAFN) On Monday, Sep. 20 an army report stated that a high-value terrorist target was confirmed dead when Pakistani security forces conducted a drive in North Waziristan district of Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

The report by the military's media wing Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that the drive was carried out on a tip-off concerning the presence of the terrorist in the zone.

The report added that in the drive, "TTP terrorist commander Safiullah was killed. Terrorist Safiullah belonged to Mir Ali and was involved in killing of 4 women of an NGO in February 2021 and target killing of Frontier Works Organization engineers in November 2020."

The terrorist was also engaged in plotting and carrying out of improvised explosive device assaults on security forces, extortion and abduction for ransom.
