KUWAIT, Sept 19 (KUNA) -- Kuwaiti racer Rashid Al-Dawwas snatched third place at the GP3 category as part of the first round of the 2021 Aquabike World Championship that came to a close Sunday evening at Italy's Sardinia Island.
Speaking to KUNA, Al-Dawwas said he was close to win the first position, however some sudden malfunctions happened, hoping for achieving further progresses in the next rounds to raise his country's status.
He expressed his delight for the achievement in this round of the championship, which features a number of outstanding athletes all over the world.
He noted that he would take part in the aquabike world tournament to be hosted by the US State of Arizona next month. (end)
