UK: Southwest Airlines gives workers bonus to get vaccinated

(MENAFN) As COVID-19 cases increase throughout the US, Southwest Airlines has become the most recent huge US airline to attempt persuading its employees into taking the vaccine.

It stated it would give an additional benefit to workers who got vaccinated, but also cease sick compensation for employees who did not get the vaccine and had to self-isolate with coronavirus.

It included that it was not linked to Joe Biden’s imminent vaccine regulation for companies; however it intends to conform to the order.

Delta, American and United Airlines have all achieved such steps lately.

In a memorandum to employees, Southwest stated those who provide an evidence of vaccination to the firm by mid November would gain 16 hours of additional financial compensation.

The airline said, "If you have not been vaccinated and choose to do so, this timeline gives you enough time to receive both rounds of a two-series vaccine or the single-dose vaccine.”
