To broadcast matches live for the first time
SRINAGAR: Kashmir Valley's top-most footballing League, Premier Division 2021-22 is all set to begin from September 27. The official revelation came in a meeting of Managers and Coaches of all Premier Division Clubs of DFA Srinagar on Thursday at Synthetic Turf TRC, Srinagar.
The meeting was presided over by Prof B.A Shah, General Secretary JKFA and was conveyed in connection with the conduct of the Premier Division League 2021-22.
“There was a thorough interaction with the participants and modalities were worked out for the start of the Tournament. The president DFA Srinagar, Fayaz Ahmad Sofi informed the house that the Premier Division league football tournament will start from September 27, 2021 at Synthetic Turf, Srinagar and the main features of the tournament will be the live telecast of all the matches throughout the country and abroad,” a JKFA statement said.
“The lots will be drawn on September 21, in presence of the representatives of the participating Clubs. The Regulations & the Ground Rules were read out and approved by the members present,” it said.
“The Clubs were informed to keep their team in readiness for the event and adopt the same procedure for the Tournament as was done by them during Professional League 2021, regarding proper count down and punctuality,” the statement added.
“It was decided in the meeting that all clubs will complete their registration formalities up to September 20. No request for registration will be entertained after this date,” the JKFA statement concluded.
The meeting was also attended by Tariq Ahmad, Secretary DFA Srinagar who discussed various issues with the managers. Farooq Shaheen, Chairman Referees Committee and Muzaffar Ahmad, Assistant HOR, also attended the meeting.
