Italy: Fresh businesses increase while Bankruptcies decrease in Apr.-Jun. period

(MENAFN) In what the Italian National Statistics Institute (ISTAT) described "further proof" of Italy’s economic revival, the amount of fresh business licenses surged, while bankruptcies declined in the April-June period of 2021.

The amount of fresh businesses established in the cited period climbed by 3.2 percent against the first three months of the year, whereas the amount of bankruptcies decreased by 8.9 percent in the corresponding period, according to ISTAT.

Almost 80,000 fresh businesses were established in the second quarter of this year.

When modified for seasonal reasons, the rise in the number of freshly created businesses surpassed pre-coronavirus levels in the following industries: construction, information and communication services, financial, real estate, and professional activities, stated ISTAT.
