(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Sept 17 (KUNA) -- The Arab League Secretary-General, Ahmad Aboul Gheit, expressed his concern over the political developments currently taking place in Somalia.
In a statement Friday, Aboul Gheit urged the Somali leaders to put the country's interest above any consideration and adhere to dialogue, as it is the only way to resolve any differences.
He touched on the consultative meeting of Arab foreign ministers that was held on September 9, on the sidelines of the 156th session of the League Council, where it discussed ways to support efforts to hold presidential elections in Somalia, and listened to a detailed explanation from the Somali Foreign Minister about his country's needs at this stage.
