Pakistani religious party official calls for world to maintain Afghans


(MENAFN) One of Pakistan’s chief religiopolitical parties, Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), gave technical maintain in health and education to the recent government in Afghanistan.

The Taliban controlled Afghanistan during mid-August and created a temporary administration ruled by the acting Prime Minister, Hassan Akhund.

The party's executive of foreign affairs, Asif Luqman Qazi, announced during a news meeting in the capital Islamabad that the JI supports Afghanis.

Qazi added "Our leadership has offered technical support and expertise to the Afghan government through its office in Peshawar for the education and health sectors," and mentioned that the party's aid supporter, Al Khidmat Foundation, can support too.
