QNA Doha: Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation (QBSF) announced the signing of a sponsorship contract with Ooredoo to sponsor the Asian, World and Gulf championships, organised by the Federation.
The announcement came during a press conference held at Al Messila Resort on the sidelines of the ongoing Asian Snooker Championship.
President of the Qatar Billiards and Snooker Federation Mohammed Mubarak Al Ramzani, President of the International Billiard and Snooker Federation Mubarak Al Khayarin and Director of Public Relations at Ooredoo Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari attended the event.
The Asian Snooker Championship will conclude today and will be followed by the Six-Red World Championship from tomorrow until September 21. The GCC Billiards and Snooker Championship will take place from Sept. 22-28. QBSF President Al Ramzani expressed his happiness after signing the sponsorship contract with Ooredoo for the three events.
He thanked Ooredoo for its initiative which is part of the company's constant contribution to the success of all the tournaments held in Qatar in various games and sports.
President of IBSF and Executive Director of QBSF Al Khayarin praised the partnership between the two sides, praising the efforts of Ooredoo and its distinguished national role in sponsoring and making all sporting events hosted by the State of Qatar a success.
For his part, Director of Public Relations at Ooredoo Sabah Rabiah Al Kuwari stressed the importance of the partnership with QBSF, which came through signing a sponsorship contract for three international, continental and Gulf championships in snooker and billiards hosted by Qatar this month.
