Dr Katherine Ravenswood is an Associate Professor of Employment Relations in the Department of Management. She is well regarded for her expertise in the care workforce and its management, serving on multiple industry and government committees such as the Kaiāwhina Workforce Action Plan (workforce intelligence stream), the Inbetween Time Settlement Parties Action Group (Ministry of Health) and the Caring Counts Coalition. Her international academic reputation is evidenced through her quality publications investigating gender inequality in the aged care workforce; and her appointment to the Steering Committee of the Global Carework Network based at the University of Massachusetts – Lowell. She leads two current projects that are funded by the Health Research Council: 'Wellbeing of essential workers during COVID-19: Community Support' and 'The problem of workplace violence in home care settings'.
