Draft state budget for 2022: Spending on healthcare projected at UAH 193B


(MENAFN- UkrinForm) In the draft state budget of Ukraine for 2022, the Cabinet of Ministers has envisaged UAH 193 billion for the healthcare sector.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said about this at a government meeting on September 15, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

“The healthcare sector will receive UAH 193 billion, which is UAH 31 billion more than this year. Compared to 2019, the budget for healthcare has doubled," Shmyhal said.

According to the prime minister, the increase in spending will allow setting the minimum salary for a doctor at UAH 20,000 in 2022, whereas the average salary for a doctor will exceed UAH 22,000.

As reported, on September 15, the Cabinet of Ministers approved a draft law on Ukraine's state budget for 2022.
