Ludhiana based chamber to set-up finishing school to train students as per industry needs
Ludhiana, Sept 15 (KNN) There is a huge gap between expectations of Industries and present level of knowledge & Skill in Fresh Engineering Graduates, Diploma Holders and MBA's. It is a fact that Industries have a lot of requirements, but they are not able to find suitable candidates. Its main the reason is that during their studies, they are not made aware of concepts being followed in Industries.
To bridge this Gap, CICU is going to start a Finishing School to make them aware of the latest concepts & industry expectations. A 3 month course will be run for fresher Engineering Graduates, Diploma Holders, MBAs.
It will include the working of various departments like Lean Manufacturing concepts, MIS, Daily work management, Inspection, Testing, Basic of Management systems like ISO 9001:2015 and different processes of Engineering i.e. Forging, Foundry, Machining, Sheet Metal, Fabrication & Welding, Heat Treatment and Surface Coating processes. Working Professionals will also be provided inputs for upgradation of their skills in finishing School.
The Executive Committee of CICU approved and appreciated the same, as, it will defiantly help the industry to find suitable candidates as well as also helps the candidates to find a suitable job as per their profession.
S. Upkar Singh Ahuja, President, CICU shared that with this initiative fresher will get assured placements and the industry will get the required candidates. Pankaj Sharma, General Secretary, CICU also shared his views that this will give an opportunity to working professionals to enhance their skills.
