Qatar participates in International Conference for Recovery of Stolen Funds in Baghdad


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The State of Qatar will take part in the International Conference for the Recovery of Stolen Funds, which will be held in Baghdad from September 15 to 16.
The conference is organized by the Iraqi government in cooperation with the League of Arab States, in the presence of Arab Ministers of Justice.
The delegation of Qatar to the conference will be headed by HE the Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohammed Al Amri.
The two-day conference will review the successful experiences in fighting corruption and recovering stolen funds and ways to benefit from these funds at the Arab level; in addition to areas of international cooperation in the field of recovering corruption funds, the Arab cooperation in combating corruption and recovering funds, and the appropriate legislative framework for the recovery of funds looted by corruption.


The conference will come up with recommendations to be submitted to the Council of Arab Justice Ministers aiming at activating the protocols of Arab cooperation in this field. (QNA)
