Egypt, Japan’s Toyota to search for investments in blue ammonia


(MENAFN) Asharq informed, the Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum inked a memorandum of understanding with Japan's Toyota Tsusho to evaluate the chances for creating blue ammonia in Egypt.

On Tuesday, Sep. 15 the ministry declared in a statement, economic feasibility studies and the best obtainable chances in the petroleum industry will be applied to implement schemes for extracting and saving carbon dioxide to create blue ammonia, with the newest Japanese technologies.

The searching for chances in the manufacture of ammonia will be carried out through collaboration between the Egyptian Natural Gas Holding Company (EGAS), the Egyptian Petrochemical Holding Company (ECHEM), and Toyota Tsusho Company.
