Sudan’s balanced currency reduces speed of inflation

(MENAFN) As mentioned by the Central Bureau of Statistics, prices for foodstuffs and imported products declined.

The extremely high inflation level of Sudan declined to 387.56 percent last month, for the initial time since the in-between government was in control two years ago.

Charges for food products and imported products decreased, as stated by the Central Bureau of Statistics, which caused the inflation level to decrease from 422.8 percent in July.

Alaalim Abdul Gani, head of the economic department of the statistics body said, this was mainly because of Sudan’s balanced currency, after a deflation earlier in 2021.
