(MENAFN) Defense lawyer of Recaptured Palestinian prisoner Mahmoud Al-Arida stated that Arida was the mastermind of last week’s jailbreak from the high-security Gilboa prison in northern Israel.
Officeal Palestine TV quoted Raslan Mahajna as saying that Al-Arida “began digging the tunnel early last December and completed it early this September.”
The defense lawyer gathered with the former fugitive on Wednesday at the Israeli Jalama investigation center in northern Israel.
He further declared that Al-Arida “was primarily responsible for planning and implementing this operation”, and he refused to involve any other prisoners in his plan.
