(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Sep. 14 Saudi Arabia inked deals with top pharmaceutical and biotechnology firms, comprising AstraZeneca and Pfizer, to encourage investment in its health industry.
The Saudi Ministry of Investment stated in a declaration that the deals were inked on the marginal of the Riyadh Global Medical Biotechnology Summit 2021, which runs from Tuesday to Thursday.
According to the declaration, the ministry, in cooperation with the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs, inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the British-Swedish pharmaceutical firm AstraZeneca, so as to find chances to found world-class clinical research centers in the country.
The MoU between Saudi Arabia and AstraZeneca will boost the strategic collaboration between domestic and global firms, noted Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, the country’s minister of investment.
